Ingredients:
- Kakharu Patra (Pumpkin leaves) - 1 cups (Finely chopped) (କଖାରୁ ପତ୍ର)
- Roasted Mung Dal (Yellow Split Peas) - 1 cup(ମୁଗ ଡାଲି)
- Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
- Oil - 1 tbsp(ତେଲ)
- Dry chillies - 2(ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା)
- Pancha phutana - 1 tsp(ପଂଚ ଫୁଟଣ)
- Garlic(crushed) -10 pods(ରସୁଣ)
- Water - 1 n 1/2 cups(ପାଣି)
Method:
- Clean and wash the roasted mung dal and boil it with water. Add salt to taste and turmeric powder. Cover it and let it boil for 5 minutes.
- When it half cooked,add the pumpkin leaves and cook about 5-8 minutes.
- For tempering, add oil to the pan. Add panch phutan, dry red chilly, when it starts to splutter add crushed garlic and saute for a while.
- Add the boiled pumpkin leaves to the tadka and mix well about 2 minutes.
- Serve hot wih rice.
