Cabbage and carrot Fry (କୋବି ଗାଜର ଭଜା)
- Cabbage(chopped) - 1/2 of 1 medium cabbage (ପତ୍ର କୋବି)
- Garlic(chopped or crushed) - 10 cloves(ରସୁଣ)
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Carrot(chopped) - 1 cup(ଗାଜର)
- Onion(Chopped) - 1(ପିଆଜ)
- Chana Dal - 2-3 tbsp (ଚଣା ଡାଲି )
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp (ସୋରିଷ)
- Green Chilli(chopped) - 2(ଲଙ୍କାମରିଚ)
- Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
- Oil (ତେଲ)
Method:
- Soak the channa dhal for sometime and cook it by putting in boiling water.
- Heat little oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds and curry leaves and allow to splutter.
- Add Chopped Onion,garlic,green chilli and fry till onion looks golden in color.
- Add cabbage and carrot and sprinkle salt as required.
- Mix the vegetables.
- Finally add boiled chana dal and mix well.
- Cover the lid for 5 mins till cabbage and carrot are loft.
- Open the lid and cook on low heat for about Ten to Fifteen minutes until that turns light brown color..
- Serve with rice as side dish.
