Stuffed Bhindi Masala( ମସଲା ଭେଣ୍ଡି)
- Okra/ bhindi – 250 grm(ଭେଣ୍ଡି)
- Garlic -10 cloves(ରସୁଣ)
- Ginger - 1 inch(ଅଦା)
- Tomato - 1 big(ଟମାଟର)
- Onion - 1 (ପିଆଜ)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp(ଗରମ ମସଲା)
- Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp(ଜିରା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp(ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
- Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp(ତେଲ)
Method:
- Clean and wash bhindi. Dry them with kitchen towel.
- Trim the both ends of bhindi, and carefully make slit on one side.
- Grind onion, tomato, garlic and ginger together up to fine paste.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a fry pan..
- Add grinded onion, tomato, garlic and ginger paste. Fry till the paste dries up.
- Add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry for 1-2 minutes and add Garam masala powder. Keep aside to cool.
- Stuff this masala into the bhindi with the help of spoon or hand.
- Heat the same pan and add 2 tbsp oil. place 5 to 6 bhindi on the pan and cook in low flame; gently turn bhindi to all sides to cook evenly. cook till bhindi is soft.
- the colour of okra will change from green colour to light brown as it is cooked.
- Serve hot as a side dish.
