Ingredients:
Bhendi/okra/ladies finger - 15-20(ଭେଣ୍ଡି)
- Masala paste (1 Onion, 8 Garlic cloves,1 inch ginger,1/2 tsp cumin seeds,1 dry red chilli, 1 green chilli, 1 tomato )(ପିଆଜ,ଜିରା,ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା,ଅଦା,ରସୁଣ,ଟମାଟra)
- Turmeric powder-1 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Red chili powder-1 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା
ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Coriander powder-1/2 tsp(ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
- Garam masala powder-1 tsp(ଗରମ ମସଲା)
- Potato - 2 medium(optional)(ଆଳୁ)
- Curry masala powder- 1/2 tsp(ତରକାରୀ ମସଲା)
- Coconut milk-1 cup(ନଡିଆ ରସ)
- Whole garam masala(1 Bay leaf,1 inch Cinnamon)(ତେଜ ପତ୍ର,ଡାଲଚିନି)
- Mustard oil-4-5 tsp(ସୋରିଷ ତେଲ)
- Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
Method:
- Wash & clean the bhendi,cut it into big size pieces.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan,fry the potato and bhendi and keep aside.
- Heat rest of oil in same pan,add bay leaf,cinnamon and saute it,then add masala paste,turmeric powder,red chili powder,coriander powder and salt,fry till raw smell goes.
- Then add fried bhendi and potato,garam masala powder, curry masala powder and saute it for 2-3
min,add coconut milk to it and mix well,cover the lid and cook for 5-10 mins.
- Server hot with paratha or rice .
