Mutton Leg Curry (ମାଂସ ଗୋଡ ତରକାରୀ)
Ingredients:
- Goat leg - 8 nos(ମାଂସ ଗୋଡ)
- Onion - 1 (large)(ପିଆଜ)
- Tomato - 2nos(ଟମାଟର)
- Ginger & Garlic Paste - 4 tbsp (ଅଦା, ରସୁଣ ବଟା)
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp (ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Red Chili Powder - 2 1/2 tbsp (according to your spice level)(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp (ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
- Oil - 3 tbsp (ତେଲ)
- Cloves - 2(ଲବଙ୍ଗ)
- Cinnamon - 1inch
- Bay leaves - 1 (ତେଜ ପତ୍ର)
- Pressure cook Mutton leg with water, turmeric powder, 2 tsp ginger garlic paste and salt for 1 whistle and 30mins in simmer.
- when all the steam has escaped, open pressure cooker and keep a side.
- In a pressure cook heat the oil and add star anise, cinnamon sticks, cloves and bay leaves.
- Then add onion,fry the onion till it becomes translucent and add ginger & garlic paste.
- Once the raw smell goes off add the tomatoes let them fry in medium heat for 3-4 mins
- After that add coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and red chili powder.
- Mix it all together and fry them for 2-3 mins.
- Now add the boiled goat leg mix it all together(if required, then add water).
- Finally close the lid. pressure cook it for 5 whistle until the leg is fully cooked.
- Serve hot with plain dosa or rice.
