Ingredients:
- Bread slices – 6 to 8 (brown/white bread)(ପାଉରୁଟି)
- Refined oil – 2 tsp(ତେଲ)
- Vegetables(Carrot,Cauliflower,Beans) -1 cup(ଗାଜର,ଫୁଲକୋବି,ବିନ୍ସ)
- Onions(chopped) – 1 large(ପିଆଜ)
- Salt – to taste(ଲୁଣ)
- Peanuts - 3-4 tbsp(ବାଦାମ)
- Green chillies(chopped) - 2(ଲଙ୍କାମରିଚ)
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp(ସୋରିଷ)
- Tomato(chopped) - 1 medium(optional)(ଟମାଟର)
- Potato(chopped) - 2 tbsp(optional)(ଆଳୁ)
- Chana Dal - 1 tbsp(ଚଣା ଡାଲି )
- curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Turmeric – 1 pinch(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
- Sugar – ½ tsp (optional)(ଚିନି )
Method:
- Slice the bread slices into 1 inch squares
- Boil the vegetables in slightly salted water for 8 – 9 mins. Drain.
- Heat oil in a pan.Splutter the tempering ingredients(mustard seeds,curry leaves,green chillies) and add the onions,chana dal & turmeric Fry till it turns pink.
- Then add chopped tomatoes and cook it till tomato soft or mashy.
- Now add the veggies and sauté them quickly. Once you get a semi dry mixture, add the cubed bread squares & toss them lightly.
- Sprinkle little water if required.
- Increase the flame to medium and cook covered for 3-4 mins.
- Switch off the flame and serve hot with any chutney / tomato ketchup.
