Paneer Masala
Ingredients
- 350 gms paneer(cottage cheese)
- 2 tomatoes
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 1 tsp chilli sauce (optional)
- 3 tbsp ghee
- ghee for deep frying
- salt to taste
- 1 large onion
- 1 tbsp khus-khus
- 2 sticks cinnamon (dalchini)
- 2 cloves (laung / lavang)
- 10 peppercorns (kalimirch)
- 6 red kashmiri chillies
- 3 tsp coriander (dhania) seeds
- 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 5 garlic (lehsun) cloves
- 25 ginger (adrak)
Method
- Cut the paneer into long pieces and deep fry in ghee.
- Chop the tomatoes.
- Heat the ghee in a vessel. Fry the paste for at least 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and fry again for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the paneer pieces, chilli sauce, salt and 1 teacup of water and cook for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with parathas.
