Fish Masala
Ingredients:
- Fish - 1/2 kg
- chilly powder - 1-2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Onion(slice) - 2 medium
- Mustard oil for frying and cooking
- Salt as per taste
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
- Tomato paste - 1/2 cup
Method:
- Cut ,clean fish and set aside.Marinate fish along with turmeric powder and little salt.
- In a non stick pan heat 1 tbsp. of oil and fry the fish on both the sides till light brown and keep a side.
- In the same pan heat 2 tbsp of oil.
- Fry onion and saute it till it became light brown color.
- Add the ginger garlic paste,salt,turmeric powder,chilly powder and fry till you a get good aroma and oil separates from masala.
- Add tomato paste and saute it well and cover and cook it till 3-5 mins till tomato is cooked properly.
- Place the fried fish over the masala in the pan and coat the fish gently with the fried masala. Cook on slow fire for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with steamed rice and dal of your choice.
