Carrot Rice(ଗାଜର ଭାତ)

Ingredients:

  • Cooked rice - 2 cup(ଭାତ)
  • Grated Carrot - 1 cup(ଗାଜର)
  • Ginger(grated) - 1 tsp(ଅଦା)
  • Onion(slices) - 2 medium(ପିଆଜ
  • Green chillies(slit) - 2(ଲଙ୍କାମରିଚ)
  • Spring onion(chopped)(optional) - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp(ଘିଅ)
  • Jeera - 1 tbsp(ଜିରା)
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)

Method:

  • Cook the rice(75%) adding with whole garam masala,salt and 1 tbsp oil.Keep a side and let it be cool.
  • Heat the ghee in  a pan and add jeera;while it starts cracking, add green chillies,onion,spring onion and saute it till onion turns light pink color.
  • Finally add carrot,salt and saute it for 4-5 mins,then add rice and mix well.(after this,If you want,you can add soya sauce,tomato sauce and vinegar to the fried mixture)
  • Serve hot with your favorite dish.
