Jhudanga/Long beans potato masala fry(ଝୁଡଙ୍ଗ ଆଳୁ ଭଜା)

Ingredients:

  • Jhudanga(1 inch length) - 250 grm(ବିନ୍ଶ୍)
  • Potato(length wise) - 2(ଆଳୁ)
  • Onion(slice) - 2(ପିଆଜ
  • Jeera - 1 tbsp(ଜିରା)
  • jeera - 1/2 tsp(ଜିରା)
  • Dry chillies - 2(ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Garlic - 10-12 cloves(ରସୁଣ
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
  • Oil - 2 tbsp(ତେଲ)

Method:

  • Wash and cut the jhudanga,onion and potatos 1" length and keep a side.


  • Grind together jeera,dry chillies,garlic,2-3 tbsp water and keep a side.

  • In a pressure cooker;put jhudanga,turmeric powder,salt and masala paste and cook it on high flame only for 1 whistle and immediately release the pressure.
  • Again heat the cooker to dry the extract water and keep a side.
  • Heat the oil in a pan.
  • Add 1/2 tsp jeera,while it starts cracking put onion and potatos and saute it for couple of mins.
  • Put boiled jhudanga and mix it well(if required add salt).
  • Cook it on medium flame till jhudanga and potatos mixture cooked properly.
  • Serve hot with rice and dal as side dish.
