Drumstick pitho(ଛୁଇଁ ପିଠଉ)

Ingredients:

  • Boiled drum sticks - 2(ସିଜା ଛୁଇଁ)
  • Raw rice(soaked) - 3 tbsp(ଚାଉଳ)
  • Ginger(chopped) - 1 tbsp(ଅଦା)
  • Garlic - 6-7 cloves(ରସୁଣ)
  • Dry chillies - 1-2(ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା)
  • Jeera - 2 tsp(ଜିରା)
  • Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1-2 tbsp(optional)(ଧନିଆ ପତ୍ର)
  • Oil - 2 tbsp(ତେଲ)
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)

Method:

  • Cut the drumsticks length wise and boil it.

  • Grind the soaked rice,chillies,ginger,garlic,coriander leaves and make fine paste and keep a side.
  • Add 1 tbsp of besan or gram flour and mix it well.

  • Slit the boiled drumstick and dip in to the mixture and coat the masala both side of drumstick.
  • Mean while heat the oil in a pan and put masala wrapped drumstick one by one.
  • Cook it on medium flame till both sides became light brown color.
  • Serve hot as side dish.
