Stuffed Fish(ମସଲା ମାଛ)

Ingredients:

  • any whole fish - 2(ମାଛ)
  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Vinegar - 1 tsp(ଭିନେଗାର)
  • Rice flour - 1-2 tbsp(ଚାଉଳ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp(ଜିରା)
  • Green chillies - 5(ଲଙ୍କାମରିଚ)
  • Garlic cloves - 8(ରସୁଣ
  • Ginger - ½“piece(ଅଦା)
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp(ଧନିଆ ପତ୍ର)
  • Lemon juice: 2 tbsp(ଲେମ୍ବୁ ରସ)
  • Mustard Oil - 2 tbsp(ସୋରିଷ ତେଲ
  • Salt to taste (ଲୁଣ)

Method:

  • Clean the fish thoroughly. Mark the fish on both side for stuffing.

  • Make a paste of the turmeric powder, chilli powder and vinegar. Apply it to the outside of the fish.

  • Grind the chutney ingredients to a smooth paste. Add the lemon juice and stuff the fish with the chutney.


  • Coat with the bread crumbs and shallow fry. To keep the fish intact tie it lightly with string.

  • Cook well on one side and then flip and cook the other side.


Serve hot.
