Raw banana and green moong dal curry(କଦଳି ମୁଗ ତରକାରୀ)

Ingredients:

  • Green moong dal -1/2 cup( ଗ୍ରୀନ୍ ମୁଗ ଡାଲି
  • Raw banana -1-2(କଦଳି)
  • Potato (cube size) -2 (ଆଳୁ
  • Coconut(grated) -1/2 cup(ନଡିଆ ଖଣ୍ଡ)
  • Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Chilli powder -1 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Bayleaf - 1(ତେଜ ପତ୍ର
  • Green cardamom - 2(ଗୁଜୁରାତି
  • Cinnamon stick -1(ଡାଲଚିନି)
  • Cumin seeds -1 tsp(ଜିରା)
  • Ginger - 1 inch(ଅଦା)
  • Tomato(paste) -2(ଟମାଟର)
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
  • Oil/Ghee - 1-2 tbsp(ଘିଅ)
  • Coriander leaves(chopped) - 2 tbsp (ଧନିଆ ପତ୍ର)

Method:

  • Wash and Soak the moong dal about 2 hrs.
  • In a pressure cooker put moong dal,potato,banana along with salt and turmeric powder and cook on medium flame till 1-2 whistle.
  • Make the coarse paste og ginger and cumin seeds
  • Heat the ghee in pan.
  • Put bayleaf,cinnamon,cardamom and saute for a min.
  • After 1 min,put ginger and cumin paste and saute it for 2 min.
  • Then add tomato paste,turmeric and chilli powder along with salt and cook till oil release out.
  • Finally put boiled moong dal and grated coconut and mix it well(If you want,you can put water also) and cook for 5-10 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice/paratha.
