French beans with coconut and peanut powder(ବିନ୍ଶ୍ ଭଜା)

Ingredients:

  • French Beans -2 cups(ବିନ୍ଶ୍)
  • Potato - 1 cup(ଆଳୁ)
  • Onion(chopped) - 1 medium(ପିଆଜ)
  • Peanuts - 1/3 cup (ବାଦାମ)
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup(ନଡିଆ ଖଣ୍ଡ)
  • Garlic cloves(crushed) - 2-3(ରସୁଣ)
  • Ginger(crushed) - 1 inch(ଅଦା)
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp(ଜିରା)
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp(ସୋରିଷ
  • Dry chilly - 1(ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା)
  • Red chilly powder - 1tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Turmeric -1/2 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp(ଗରମ ମସଲା
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp(ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
  • Oil - 1 tbsp(ତେଲ
  • salt as per taste(ଲୁଣ)
  • water(ପାଣି)

Method:

  • Wash the french beans and cut it into small pieces
  • Heat water in a pan,put french beans and boil it till beans soft and keep a side.
  • Dry roast the peanuts and coconut, grind it coarsely, keep aside
  • Heat the oil in a pan, add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, onion, crushed ginger and garlic to the oil, saute it till onion becomes translucent
  • Add red chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala powder and mix it with the onion
  • Add cooked french beans, salt, coriander powder and mix well, cover it for 2-3 min
  • After 2-3 min, add coarsely grind peanuts and coconut, mix it, sprinkle some water, if the mixture becomes too dry and cover it, let it cook for 4-5 minutes
  • Serve hot with roti or rice
