Paneer Bhurji (ପନିର ଭଜା)

Ingredients:

  • Paneer - 1 cup (ପନିର୍)
  • Tomato(chopped) - 1 medium(ଟମାଟର)
  • Onion(choped) - 1 medium(ପିଆଜ)
  • Ginger and garlic(chopped) - 1 tsp(ଅଦା ରସୁଣ )
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Green chilly(chopped) - 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp (ଜିରା)
  • coriander powder - 1/2 tsp(ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )

Method:

  • Crumble the paneer/cottage cheese and keep aside.
  • Heat oil or ghee or butter in a pan. add cumin seeds and crackle them. 
  • Add chopped ginger-garlic paste and green chilly. saute iy till the raw aroma of ginger-garlic goes away.
  • Then add onions and saute it till onion became light brown color.
  • When the onions become translucent, then add tomatoes, salt,turmeric powder, chilly powder,coriander powder and mix it properly, cover and cook for 2 mins.
  • Finally, add the crumbled paneer. stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes
  • Server hot with rice or roti.
