Fish pickle(ମାଛ ଆଚାର)

Ingredients:

  • Fish - 5 pieces(ମାଛ)
  • Green chillis - 2(sliced)(ଲଙ୍କାମରିଚ)
  • Ginger - 1 inch(ଅଦା)
  • Garlic - 10 pods(ରସୁଣ
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp(ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp(ଜିରା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Onion -2(Slice)(ପିଆଜ
  • Vinegar - 1/2 tsp(ଭିନେଗାର)
  • Mustard Oil - 10 tbsp(ସୋରିଷ ତେଲ
  • Water - 1 cup(ପାଣି)
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ

Method:

  • Clean the fish,then add salt and turmeric powder, mix it well and keep a side.
  • Make a fine paste of ginger and garlic.
  • In a bowl mix together fish, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and vinegar.
  • Heat the oil in a pan then, put the fish and spicy mixture and add some water.
  • When water is spulated then, add sliced onion.
  • Cover it for 30 mins(in between you need to check).
  • Server hot with paratha/rice.
