Cabbage and onion fry

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage(slice) - 1 medium
  • Onion(slice) - 2 big
  • Tomato(chopped) - 1 medium
  • Green chilli(slice) - 1
  • Dry chilli - 1
  • Garlic - 10 pods
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Cut the cabbage and wash it and keep a side.
  • Cut the onion, make the coarse paste of garlic and keep a side.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and put mustard and cumin seeds,green chilli and saute it.
  • when it begins cracking then add red chilli and garlic and saute it.
  • add cabbage, salt and turmeric powder and cover it and cook it for10 mins.
  • Open the lid and put onion and tomato into it and fry it in low flame until cabbage became light brown and properly cooked.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaf(optional).
  • Server hot with paratha/rice.
