Tomato pulao(ଟମାଟର ପଲଉ)

Ingredients:
  • Boiled Basmati  rice - 6 cups (ଭାତ)
  • Oil - 2 tsp (ତେଲ)
  • Onion(cubed) - 2(large) (ପିଆଜ)
  • Capcicum(cubed) - 1 medium
  • Green chillies (chopped) - 2
  • Paneer - 100grm(optional) (ପନିର)
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup
  • Tomato(cubed) - 2(large) (ଟମାଟର)
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp (ଅଦା ବଟା)
  • Garlic Paste - 1 tsp (ରସୁଣ ବଟା)
  • Tomato catchup - 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Pav bhaji masala - 2 tsp
  • Water - 1 cup (ପାଣି)
  • Coarinder leaves - 2 tsp (ଧନିଆ ପତ୍ର)
Method:
  • Heat the oil in a kadai.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste & saute it for 15 sec.
  • Then add cube sized onion to this and fry till they become transparent.
  • Add tomato and fry them in low heat till the tomatoes soften.
  • Add tomato catchup, red chilli powder,turmeric powder and pav bhaji powder & mix well.
  • Add capcicum, green peas & green chillies and stir well.
  • Then add water,paneer and salt to it.
  • Add rice & mix well.
  • Finally add coarinder leaves.
  • Serve hot.
