Shahi Paneer (ସାହି ପନିର)


Ingredients:
  • Paneer - 400 grm (cut into finger) (ପନିର)
  • Onion - 2 large (boiled & pureed) (ପିଆଜ)
  • Green chillies -2 slit
  • Tomato - 1 medium size (grind) (ଟମାଟର)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp(ଅଦା,ରସୁଣ ବଟା)
  • Cashew paste - 1/4 cup(କାଜୁ)
  • Refined Oil - 4 tsp (ତେଲ)
  • Bay leaf - 1(ତେଜ ପତ୍ର)
  • Cloves - 3
  • Black peppercorn - 4-5
  • Cinnamon - 2 one inch stick
  • Salt - to taste (ଲୁଣ)
  • Green cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp (ଗୁଜୁରାତୀ)
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp (ଗରମ ମସଲା)
  • Kasturi methi - 1 pinch
  • Water - 1 cup (ପାଣି)
  • Coariander leaves - 2 tsp
 Method:
  • Heat 4 tsp oil in a pan .
  • Fry paneer for 2 min untill it starts getting light brown color.Remove it & keep aside.
  • Add bay leaf, cloves, black peppercorn, cinnamon and saute till fragrant.
  • Add 2 slit green chillies and 2 large boiled & pureed onion and saute it for 3-4 minutes in low flame so it doesnot get colored.
  • Add 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste and saute it for 1 minute.
  • Add grind tamato, kasturi methi  and saute till the water from tomato gets absorbed.
  • Add 1/4 cup cashewnut paste and saute for 3 minutes.
  • Then add garam masala, salt and mix well.
  • Add 1/2 cup water and let it boil.
  • Add 1/4 tsp green cardamaom powder and mix well.
  • Finally add Paneer and mix gently.
  • Let it cook for 2 - 3 minutes.Garnish with Coariander leaves.
  • serve hot with naan, rice.
