This is very popular chutney using for breakfast.There is variety of ways to make peanut chutney, This is one of them which I made here.

This Peanut chutney is served with Idli, Dosa, Upma, Vada, Pakoda.

Recipe for Peanut Chutney Recipe | Groundnut Chutney Recipe | ବାଦାମ ଚଟୁଣି :

Ingredients:


  • Peanuts - 1 cups (ବାଦାମ)
  • Red chillies - 1(ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା)
  • Garlic cloves - 4 (ରସୁଣ)
  • Chana dal - 1 1/2 tbsp(ଚଣା ଡାଲି )
  • White teal - 1 tbsp(ରାଶି)
  • Tamarind - Small piece(ତେନ୍ତୁଳି)
  • Green Chillies -1(ଲଙ୍କାମରିଚ)
  • Water - 1/2 cup or as required(ପାଣି)
  • Salt to taste (ଲୁଣ)

  • for tempering:
    • Oil - 1 tbsp(ତେଲ) 
    • Mustard seeds - 3/4 tbsp(ସୋରିଷ) 
    • Urad dal - 1 tsp(ବିରି ଡାଲି) 
    • pinch of hing / asafoetida(ହେଂଗୁ)
    • Dry chilli - 1(ଶୁଖିଲା ଲଙ୍କା)
    • Curry leaves - 1sprig(ଭୁରଶଂଗ ପତ୍ର)
    Method:
    • Heat the pan.
    • Dry roast peanuts till peanuts turns light brown color.(you can use skinless peanuts). 
    • Let it be cool,then Remove the skin & transfer into the blander jar.
    • In the same pan,heat the oil.
    • Put chana dal & saute it for 30 sec.
    • Then add green chilli,dry chilli,teal & garlic.
    • Saute it for on low flame for 1 min.
    • Then transfer into the blander jar.
    • In the blander put tamarind,salt & water and grind to a paste.
    • Transfer to the bowl.
    • For tempering heat oil.
    • Put mustard seeds,curry leaves,hing, & dry chilli.
    • allow the tempering to splutter.
    • finally, pour the tempering over peanut chutney.
    • serve along with idli or dosa.
