Mutton Leg Curry (ମାଂସ ଗୋଡ ତରକାରୀ)


Ingredients:
  • Goat leg - 8 nos(ମାଂସ ଗୋଡ)
  • Onion - 1 (large)(ପିଆଜ)
  • Tomato - 2nos(ଟମାଟର)
  • Ginger & Garlic Paste - 4 tbsp (ଅଦା, ରସୁଣ ବଟା)
  • Coriander powder -  2 tbsp (ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Red Chili Powder -  2 1/2 tbsp (according to your spice level)(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp (ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Oil - 3 tbsp (ତେଲ)
  • Cloves - 2(ଲବଙ୍ଗ)
  • Cinnamon - 1inch
  • Bay leaves - 1 (ତେଜ ପତ୍ର)
 Method:
  • Pressure cook Mutton leg with water, turmeric powder, 2 tsp ginger garlic paste and salt for 1 whistle and 30mins in simmer.
  • when all the steam has escaped, open pressure cooker and keep a side. 
  • In a pressure cook heat the oil and add star anise, cinnamon sticks, cloves and bay leaves.
  • Then add onion,fry the onion till it becomes translucent and add ginger & garlic paste.
  • Once the raw smell goes off add the tomatoes let them fry in medium heat for 3-4 mins
  • After that add coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and red chili powder.
  • Mix it all together and fry them for 2-3 mins.
  • Now add the boiled goat leg mix it all together(if required, then add water).
  • Finally  close the lid. pressure cook it for 5 whistle until the leg is fully cooked.
  • Serve hot with plain dosa or rice.
