Stuffed Bhindi Masala( ମସଲା ଭେଣ୍ଡି)




Ingredients:
  • Okra/ bhindi  – 250 grm(ଭେଣ୍ଡି)
  • Garlic -10 cloves(ରସୁଣ
  • Ginger - 1 inch(ଅଦା)
  • Tomato - 1 big(ଟମାଟର)
  • Onion - 1 (ପିଆଜ
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp(ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp(ଗରମ ମସଲା
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp(ଲଙ୍କା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp(ଜିରା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp(ଧନିଆ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ )
  • Salt to taste(ଲୁଣ)
  • Oil – 2-3 tbsp(ତେଲ
  Method:
  • Clean and wash bhindi.  Dry them with kitchen towel.
  • Trim the both ends of bhindi, and carefully make slit on one side. 
  • Grind onion, tomato, garlic and ginger together up to fine paste.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a fry pan..
  • Add grinded onion, tomato, garlic and ginger paste. Fry till the paste dries up. 
  • Add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry for 1-2 minutes and add Garam masala powder. Keep aside to cool.
  • Stuff this masala into the  bhindi with the help of spoon or hand.
  • Heat the same pan  and add  2 tbsp oil. place 5 to 6 bhindi on the pan and cook in low flame; gently turn bhindi to all sides to cook evenly. cook till bhindi is soft.
  • the colour of okra will change from green colour to light brown as it is cooked.
  • Serve hot as a side dish.
