Sooji Halwa(ସୁଜି ହାଲୁଆ)

Ingredients:

  • Rawa/Sooji/Semolina -1 cup(ସୁଜି
  • Desi Ghee ( clarified butter) - 1/2 cup(ଘିଅ)
  • Milk -2 1/2 cup(ଖିର)
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tbsp(ଗୁଜୁରାତି ଗୁଣ୍ଡ
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup(ଚିନି)
  • Chopped Almond - 2 tbsp
  • Chopped Kaju - 2 tbsp(କାଜୁ)
  • Raisins - 2 tbsp

Method:


  • Heat the pan and saute the rawa till it became light brown color and keep a side.
  • Heat ghee in the same pan on low flame, add all nuts and fry it till turn little brown, then add rawa,cardamom powder and fry it for 5-10 mins in low flame.
  • At the same time heat the milk along with sugar.
  • Add boiled milk in fried rawa and cook it till milk gets absorbed in rawa.
  • Serve hot rawa halwa with poori.
