Beans Bhaji(ବିନ୍ସ ଆଳୁ ଭଜା)

    Ingredients:

  • oil - 5 tsp (ତେଲ)
  • mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp (ସୋରିଷ)
  • cumin seed - 1/2 tsp (ଜିରା)
  • onion(sliced) - 1 large (ପିଆଜ)
  • Dry red chilies - 4
  • fresh coriander leaves(chopped) - 2 tsp (ଧନିଆ ପତ୍ର)
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp (ହଳଦୀ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Potato(cut into matchsticks 8 ounces French beans, sliced ) - 2 large (ଆଳୁ)
  • salt - to taste (ଲୁଣ)
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp (ଜିରା ଗୁଣ୍ଡ)
  • Method:  

  • Heat the oil over medium heat. When hot add the mustard seeds, when they start to pop add the cumin seeds, onions and red chillies. Fry for 4 minutes.
  • Add the beans, potatoes, Turmeric and salt, stir to mix all the ingredients together.  
  •  Cover the pan and reduce the heat to minimum and cook for 20 mins, stir from time to time to prevent sticking and burning.
  • Stir in the ground cumin and cook for 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle coariander leaves.
  •  Serve with boiled rice or roti.
